Rachel and Jack’s wedding proves that love shines brightest when the weather does its worst. Storm Amy arrived in full force on their October Saturday, but nothing could dampen the joy that filled Leeds Civic Hall that afternoon.
A Rainy Arrival Full of Laughter
Rachel arrived in style, stepping out of a white limo with her family, who huddled around her with umbrellas, laughter, and wind-tousled hair. I loved capturing those little moments, the way her relatives shielded her from the rain, the excitement bubbling under grey skies, and that first glimpse of the beautiful Rachel braving the storm with a smile.
The Ceremony in the Banqueting Hall
Upstairs, the Banqueting Hall glowed softly as guests shook off their umbrellas and settled in. Even though everyone was a little damp, the room buzzed with warmth and anticipation as Jack waited for Rachel to walk down the aisle.
It was one of those ceremonies where every glance and every laugh spoke volumes- intimate, joyful, and so full of love
A Stormy Stroll & Family Photos
After the “I do’s,” we stepped outside into the drizzle for confetti, followed by a few quick family portraits. Alongside these, some of my favourites were the little candid moments, the in-between shots that tell the story of the day.
Just Married Magic
Rachel and Jack couldn’t stop smiling, stealing kisses between shots and clearly soaking up every second of their newlywed glow.
The Civic Hall made a perfect backdrop, and despite the wind, we managed to capture some truly romantic moments- moody weather can make the dreamiest images!
We finished with some fun “Just Married” sunglasses photos before they hopped back into their limo to head off for their evening celebration- hearts full, hair a little windswept, and utterly in love!
If you’re planning a relaxed wedding in Leeds or West Yorkshire and want those candid, heart-led moments captured — storm or shine — I’d love to tell your love story too.
