I’m Chelle, a natural light photographer with 9 years of experience. Storytelling with romanticised real moments are my style.
I have a background in working with SEN children in schools and was also a Babyballet teacher.
I am a mum of 4 wild kids, and wife to my childhood sweetheart of 22 years. We live in Yorkshire. Our house is chaotic at times and I fully embrace it!
A few years ago, my eldest daughter was going through gruelling treatment for a serious illness and photography became a way to document our happy times.
I decided to do things properly and learnt how to use a camera in manual mode, and have since invested in countless courses in mastering light and composition, and the creative aspect such as storytelling and family photojournalism.
Two of my kids are neurodivergent and I have experience working with autistic children in schools.
Aside from photography….
I used to love going out belly dancing (I was a professional) and now I just do it at home in my kitchen! Because, just in case you didn’t read before, I’m a mum with 4 kids! So……
….my favourite things to do are usually involving them, we are regularly out for long walks on weekends, visiting grandparents or chilling at home. Any spare time is spent doing laundry- a LOT of laundry. Or cleaning up mess, making dinner, or homework. I do NOT iron. Who has the time for that?
I love films and books, but I only really read while on holiday! (Which is usually camping).
I'm a big fan of fairytales, myths, folklore, anything to do with storytelling!
Makes us laugh every day and is like an emotional support therapist to us all, yet doesn't talk back! He just tells us with his expressions- haha
Sadly has recently passed away at age 13. I feel like she needs her place here!
As a kid, I would sit for hours looking through old photos and loved learning the stories of my grandparents and great grandparents. To this day, I find other peoples stories interesting. This has helped to give me my own storytelling and nostalgic photography style.

I have a background of working with children and a have a mellow approach to my shoots. I love to capture the little quirks that makes families unique! Unconventional families are totally welcome. My own kids are borderline feral (think of the kids from Nanny McPhee!) and I love to catch them during funny, unexpected moments that tell a story.
